serial cereals

It's been 2 long months since i last posted - or is it slightly longer? Time is speeding up as it inevitably does when you get into a routine. We've just had a week off so time to catch up.
Where to start? This has been why i have been avoiding a new post - my organisational skills, when it comes to writing (and most other things) are poor and stream of consiousness has always been my preferred style. However, i can see how this would quickly cut my number of followers from 2 to zero so i will take photos as my guide and add captions.
This one from mid October was at sunset - we get the most fantastically varied evening views - no need for pictures on the beige walls - this IS our picture wall.
The bridge you can see in the distance is one we ran over on October 2nd - Bob 5k, me 10k.
It was a glorious day, the steamy humidity had disappeared and just cool, morning sunshine to run in along with thousands of others. The best bit was drinking Makali, a sort of rice wine drink? which is compulsory after fun runs in Korea. We blended in effortlessly and i can recommend it.

We bought a Macbook for a bargain price as it was the demo model in Emart. Since then we have spent inordinate amounts of time on the Internet. We use the little note pad as our internet radio - if sometimes it seems we are permanently online, it is because we have this on most of the time and switch off the speakers. Radio 4 is our staple and Book at Bedtime is breakfast listening. Catch 22 was a sobering way to start the day for a while. Now the clocks have gone back we might get the World Tonight which will at least be a bit more like Today with no Sarah Montague or John Humphries (joy) We are seriously missing James Naughtie and Evan Davies though - our lives are quieter without wall to wall radio. Book at our bedtime is the Archers repeat when we remember to tune in. I have also found a Korean classical music station which is almost radio 3 with the odd dose of interesting Korean classical and lighter stuff to add a suitably randon soundtrack to our daily lives at home.

I'm hungry so off to get some baked chicken for a Saturday night treat. More tomorrow. Oh forgot to mention breakfast - as the title suggests - our selection of cereals is growing so we have just the right one for how we're feeling. We resorted to Crunchy nut cornflakes with flaked almonds on our recent trip to Ulleungdo - the sight of so much squid had us reaching for the kelloggs. We save our adventurous eating for the weekend evenings mostly, but this might change.
